No news but here is ZBD 4A pictures. Aside from China, Russia and Germany are the only one that has similar airborne assault vehicle, that I know of. Anyone else?. they come in different version, mortar, 30 mm cannon, ambulance, command and control, I haven't seen anti air version,EW or 76mm assault gun. Neat little assault vehicle. The track record of airborne assault operation is very dismal so most western country abandon the concept except for SOP. The 15th brigade descendant of 15th army, that operate this vehicle is very illustrious outfit having fought the last battle in Korea Shangangling
BD-04A is preparing for Suvorov Assault 2017. Just like 82nd brigade of US army

Which German vehicle is this?
Wiesel

The Wiesel Armoured Weapons Carrier (AWC) is a German light air-transportable

, more specifically a lightly armoured weapons carrier. It is quite similar to historical scouting

in size, form and function, and is the only true modern tankette in use in Western Europe.

The Wiesel has been used in several of the Bundeswehr's missions abroad (

I would hardly call Wiesel an assault vehicle. It is death trap even against machine guns.

Well it was not meant to be main battle tank! The goal is to provide the airborne unit with some protection from small arm and mortar as such it is limited to 7 or 8 ton weight In case of Wiesel even less
It also reflect the technology of 70's like Mowag Piranha that become template for Canadian and American LAV

Modern assault vehicle is heavier and has better protection but even they are no match for ATGM. The purpose is to become battlefield taxi transporting infantry then scoot,as well as providing mobility

Assuming there is a human in there. A number of variants of this have been/are being tested in autonomous and semi-autonomous configurations. And for that, they have the idea size.
