    This is the PLA's premium IFV, it's interesting that the PLA is open to putting it out there to see if it's up to snuff even if just in a biathlon.

    Not exactly; the ZBD-08 (an upgraded variant of the ZBD-04A) was spotted a year or two ago.

    It's called a fu(釜), which is a giant cookware used since the Warring States period.

    Here is an example of a fu from the Qin-Han period. The example seen on the armored car probably has a detachable tripod.

    Good food is very important in Chinese culture. Therefore PLA has fielded the first armored field kitchen in the world! :)

    Yeah I'm going with satcom also. Or maybe a satcom that doubles as a giant cooking wok for hungry PLA infantry.

    Isn't there a way to make it less conspicious?
    Reminds me of what happened in ww2; a German tank unit spotted a russian column, took out the command vehicle easily recognisable by it's radio antennae and next took out the whole collumn without it being able to coordinate counterattack or call in artillery support.
