It's best, I think, not to offer criticisms prematurely, at least not before we've actually done the basic work of achieving the best analysis that we possibly can. My interpretation is that the "(...)ballistic glass enclosure(...)" that you see, is, a collapsible/removable dust-shield that drivers use while on the march and, obviously, not in combat.

The pic, attached herein, in which the three, rear, AIFVs all have these dust-shields deployed makes it, even more, evident that they are in a march, and not a combat, formation.
