Seems like China is exporting its Future Soldier program - Witness the Sudanese Future Soldier Program "KAMBO":

Mass production of hardware is never going to be a problem, nor is quality. China is clearly at a stage where they are capable of producing high quality high tech products at very reasonable cost - especially electronics and gadgets - have look at the mobile phone industries where they are now right behind the Koreans (LG/Samsung), Japanese (Sony, Sharp) and American (Apple) with their very own brands and design (Xiaomi, Lenovo, Huawei, ZTE, Gionee) - in fact I would say it may even be an advantage for them because of the mobile phone industries are relying on China to produce the goods for the global market (majority of the mobile phones are produced there). They can drive the cost down more easily (since majority the factories are there), and because of the nature of Future Force Warrior type program where it is information-centric and sensor-centric a lot of mobile phone tech can easily be translated to it - GPS, high speed data transmission (4G/5G/6G), data sharing, high resolution camera, high performance CPU (ballistic computer), advanced battery tech, hardware hardening (IP65/IP67) and weather proofing...etc etc.
Already a number of Infantry IT systems are transitioning to Tablet based systems using Commercial products but like all things IT, You need both the hardware and the software. the Software is critical because it's the security and the functions. There are three big names in Software for smart devices Android OS being the most popular, IOS Apples's Mobile OS and Windows Mobile OS. these Three pretty much are the dominate MOS with Blackberry,Firefox, Sailfish, Tizen and Ubuntu taking up the slack. IT takes a long time to wright a totally new OS so Military users will likely start with an existing OS and conduct a Rewrite.
Meaning most of these Military devices are going to have to have a OS that is compatible of interacting with a nations Other military IT infrastructure but not Civilian as civilian infrastructure lacks the security and inscription needed by a military in military operations as such although the OS may be based on a Commercial OS it will be heavily modified included in modifications of both Hardware and Software to segregate it's network operations from Civil 4G or 4G LTE or 5G and operate in a secure network.
What about this:

That's a handheld FLIR system. And I think for infantry you don't need to have a FLIR system like the one mounted on aircraft where you can see the enemy aircraft 100 km away. Just 500 meters is more than sufficient considering most of the engagement range is around 400 meters (and the reason majority of the assualt rifles are designed around that range).
True The effective range of infantry is about 400 meters and only specialist need beyond that (IE Snipers) but my point was that Your not going to get a system capible of operating in IR and Thermal in a pair of Eye glasses inside the next 2 decades. mounting on a weapon or the side of a Helmet maybe. but also consider that Infantry and SF are going to need there FLIR and night vision to be much more rugged then a regular civilian need

Seen this months ago and many have accused it of being a Directly Chinese export. And Well I do agree it has a lot of Chinese elements most visibly the QBZ carbine, it's also containing parts that can be acquired form other sources as well. basically what we are seeing is the Budget land warrior system, the third world land warrior... Export Warrior if you will. It's functions are at best a few years behind the top players. It lacks alot of the Wiz bang of the top of the line systems and it's doing alot of makeshift.
