Pardon, but there must be one "0" too much! ;):D

And also as it seems, the designation is official? ... but is this the WS-10 variant with the serrated feathers as used by these latest J-20As or the TVC variant; I thought this one is the WS-10B-3.

Is WS-20B a typo (should it be WS-10B)? I'm aware that it's that way in the tweet.

    About f*cking time!

The Chinese texts are "数控", literally means Digital Control. Chinese technical terminology does not give a unique translation of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) different from any other digital/computer control. All are translated to "数控" short form of "数字控制".

For example, FADEC (full authority digital engine control) is 全权数字发动机控制. CNC is 数字控制机床.

In the posted photocopy, they are all referring to turbofan engines, so they are not CNC, but FADEC software.

Yes, that's a typo. 13200 is what I meant. Both 10B3 and 10C fit your description, but 10C does not have a thrust-vectoring nozzle.

Is there a plan to induct TVC technology into PLAAF engines? Or will the B3 become another demonstrator?

    True. It is a demonstrator.

Thanks. That's barely 130 kN. Puts it in the class of the F110-GE-129. For the J-10 that would suffice, but rather low for 5th gen aircraft. o_O Maybe it has an emergency mode similar to the Saturn 117/117S but at the expense of MTBO? o_Oo_O

I am wondering whether the max dry thrust in the WS-10C is higher than the AL-31. That would help with supercruise for the J-20.

It will pave the way for WS-15, which is rumored to feature TVC.

It would make sense to "overclock" the WS-10C when it's installed on the J-20. Get the extra performance out of it and by the time it burns out the airframe can be re-engined with a WS-15.
