Chinese Engine Development

From Henri K blog
The time when Chinese fighter planes are dependent on Russian engines is over - many local sources confirm that the mass production of the J-10C and J-20, equipped with Chinese-engines, has already begun. That were already the case for all Sukhoi-type, except J-15,
This is probably dovetail with the news that J20 has entered mass production stage make sense using domestically sourced engine. the same apply to J10C As we haven't heard any new engine contract for AL31F

Is there any confirmed photos of WS-15 in tests?

No, he made a mistake. He mistook the production variant of a WS-10 J-20 for the test variant of a WS-15 J-20. Good thing is people are now saying that J-20 production has now shifted to WS-10 and are reasoning that that likely represents an advancement of a new WS-10 variant superior to the 145kN AL-31FM2 on current J-20s. Check out the discussion on the J-20 thread.

Could someone translate this picture? I got it from PDF and it seems to be about the (bad) manufacturing quality of the AL-31 engines.
If true, it doesn't surprise me if after seeing the WS-10 being mounted on the last remaining aircraft. (j-10, j-20)

There are production plans for WS-10B, C, and D versions set for this year. Still got to wait for several years for WS-15. The quality of AL-31FN series 3 (I guess) is getting worse. Someone found a pair of underwear within an AL-31FN. There was also an accident when several safety checks were not turned on, causing the blade to break apart. Then the respective Russian workers were fired and sent back to engineer school. Still, the quality issues of the AL-31FN series remain unresolved. Sorry, my translation skill is limited.

Lol they found a pair of undies?! As in actual underwear and not just a piece of fabric. That is not poor quality or accidental. I wonder if those workers know the engines they are working on are for Chinese fighters.
