A WS-20 under the Il-76LL at the CFTE

If I remember corrrectly, a few years ago, i think there were pictures of the Y-20 with WS-20 engines. The ws-20 must be quite far along in its development if all these pictures and 'rumours' are correct.

No. So far no WS-20 was seen on a Y-20. I am not even sure if any was fitted already.

AECC (Aero Engine Corporation of China) confirms that the vector nozzles are currently in flight testing.

Just found the photo actually came from the last Zhuhai show, someone forwarded tons of pictures in a chinese forum and I picked three of them post here.
It looks like more a general aero engine control system demo than an actual model to me.

It is confirm in flight testing so I doubt it is just research development of control system because flight testing is expensive For R&D they just do ground testing[/QUOTE]

Is the engine model WS-13E or its derivative?
