Talking about going forward Material Engineering is number 1 priority. Past is based on manual trial-n-error, but going foward will mainly depend on computer simulation. All the new material experimentation will be computer simulated.

He talk about the importance single crytal growth?

He's saying China has accumulated enough knowledge on this and soon there will explosive growth on all products based on this material engineering knowledge.

WS10A variant has successfully tested on J10. Finally, It's proven mature and safe enough to be fitted on plane with Single Engine. Upcoming J10C will be fitted with WS10A.

Not sure, how often I have to repeat that: Surely not the WS-10A, which has its gearbox on top and only fits the Flanker versions ... only the WS-10B with its gearbox on the bottom:

Anyway ... not sure how reliable this news is ... I will believe it when I see it !

Right, and I'm the Emperor of China. All kidding aside, SDF fans have seen more than their share of WS10x engine awesomeness that we should be skeptical until we see concrete evidence. Volume manufacturing and mass installation, with few dependability problems might do the trick.

Well said Deino!

Equally, Blackstone.

It simply does not pass the "smell test."

After so many predictions, out and out assertions, etc. Simply pointing to another web site doing the same is not going to count for much here on SD.

Now, I am the same page as you.

At first I got the impression, from your reply, that the clip was wrong in referring to the engine as WS-10B. After some reviewing, I realized the clip only refers to the engine as "Tai Hang" and never as "WS-10B", and your reply was only directed at tidalwave. :)

I meant WS-10A.
