The high standard of living achieved by the working class in the United States is built upon the imperialist exploitation of the working class of other nations by the bourgeoisie of the US. The increasing standard of living of working class people in China is based on internal exploitation of less fortunate portions of the Chinese working class by the bourgeoisie of China. This exploitation just as undesirable as the imperialism of the United States. The problem is you eventually run out of people to exploit.

The working class of both nations (in fact of all nations) need to realize that their life is built on an unstable foundation of exploitation forced upon them by the bourgeois ruling class. They must take economic and political power away from the bourgeoisie for themselves and reorganize the government and economy so that all decisions are made democratically.

Not by a long shot. We (you, I, Jeff, AFB, Darth...) live in the greatest country in the world.

Im not so sure about that. Eg American citizens have to pay thousands through their lifetime for medicare. In New Zealand if one feels unwell, we first go to our family doctor and if the resultant diagnosis requires hospitalization for surgery, its free be it $10000 or $200,000 plus.
I believe you have less red tape though. Not so long ago I was speaking to an American who was chucking in the towel and heading back to LA. He had emigrated to NZ two years earlier and he said the 'red tape" in NZ had finally gotten to him.
And your political systems throw up HRC and Trump as the possible leader of USA. OMG

What one believes is relative. I can spin Adolf Hitler into a freedom fighter because the majority of people who say they believe in this or that are talking about it for themselves only. Like Hitler doesn't believe in his own freedoms and rights? Expecting a reward from charity isn't charity. Bragging about how much one cares more than the other in order to garner some respect is a reward. So it ain't charity. Judge someone not by what they say they do. Judge them by what they don't do in context of what they say they do. Again Hitler can say he believes in the rights of his fellow Nazi. It doesn't make him a champion of those rights especially if he only protects those rights for the people he likes.

The truth hurts doesn't it? Now are you ready to stop drinking the America is the exception kool-aid and get some reality coffee into your system yet? That reality is that America WAS the greatest country in the world, BUT not any more or that anyone cares for that title other than the status quo trolls. China now has the largest middle class people in the world while America's class are dwindling every year because of our inept elitist sponsoring corrupt politician for their own selfish gain. I don't see any hope or sign of that ever going to change.:(

I love to have meaningful discussions with you, but it's nearly impossible to have beer chats with people that have no balance in their expressed views. You might be different in reality, and you could set us straight on that, but until I see some balance from you, I wouldn't take you seriously or at face value. On the other hand, I appreciate the 'other side' fanbois provide, so keep posting.

More evidence China is increasingly an innovation and invention country. It isn't a surprise to most SDF posters/readers, but the word is spreading to the wider world. Take that, Joe Biden!

We’re not trained to associate China with innovation. Just 10 years ago everyone equated the giant get-rich-quick country with scams to sell shoddy, fake goods at prices equal to the real things. Then the DVD you bought there would get stuck or the tablet PC would freeze. But China has jumped so far ahead that the world’s paragon of consumer tech innovation Apple has picked it for a second research and development center next year. The center will open in the southern city Shenzhen, a wealth of IT talent that Apple could hire or sound out for new product ideas.

We might also associate China with low-cost manufacturing. But although salaries of the undisclosed number of Shenzhen R&D center employees will probably cost less than peers in Apple’s Silicon Valley headquarters, Apple isn’t necessarily going there to save money.

Apple’s second China R&D center, after a $45 million first in Beijing, will help the American firm vie in the world’s biggest smartphone market by keeping up with its talent. Shenzhen, a megalopolis just north of Hong Kong, is home to Apple’s smartphone-developer rivals Huawei and ZTE. Flagship Internet content firm Tencent Holdings is there too. Some Shenzhen companies already work with Apple to make its gear.

“They do not want to miss innovation coming from China,” says Alicia Garcia Herrero, chief Asia Pacific economist with the French investment bank Natixis. “Innovation is a question of getting closer to the consumers’ mindset and taste. Process and design innovation, more generally, are in this category.”

Or as Apple CEO Tim Cook was quoted saying when in Shenzhen Oct. 11, the Chinese city comes with a “skill level” that is “gradually leading other parts of the world.” Tencent might inspire Apple’s app developers with its ever-hip Wechat mobile messaging service and online payment schemes.

“We are excited to be opening a new Research and Development center (in Shenzhen) next year so our engineering team can work even more closely and collaboratively with our manufacturing partners,” Apple says in a statement, adding that it employs 200,000 people in the city now. “The Shenzhen center, along with the Beijing center, is also aimed at strengthening relationships with local partners and universities as we work to support talent development across the country.”

It just so happens that iPhone sales fell another 33% in greater China – Taiwan, Hong Kong and the big China we’re talking about – in the third quarter this year over the same period of 2015 largely because Chinese are gravitating toward locally designed (and invariably cheaper) Android phones. Apple might learn from its Shenzhen contacts how to bring prices down to Huawei and ZTE levels.

Its R&D center would at least ease criticism among Chinese that it’s a foreign carpetbagger looking to the giant market for profits without giving a lot back, analysts say.

“Foreign tech companies often face criticism in China for earning handsome profits from Chinese consumers, but not making sufficient efforts to contribute to the country’s development,” says Mark Natkin, managing director with market research firm Marbridge Consulting in Beijing.

“It is an argument that is designed to pressure such firms into moving more of their R&D or making available more of their technology to China,” Natkin says. “Companies that ignore this message may encounter many more obstacles to smooth operations in China than those that take the hint.”

US government starts to Bullshitting everyone now. It thinks everyone else is Dumb.
US government said China uses Intel Xeon processor to simulate Nuclear explosion. Come on now, does China needs computer simuation on nuclear explosion ? That's so iffy.

Now, it tells Germany to stop selling AIXTRON, a equipment maker for LED. Again, US government said those tech can be linked to Chinese nuclear program. Germany asked for evidences but it said none can be provided. That's total BS. No way LED tech has any link in Nuclear Program.

It uses Chinese Nuclear Program (those are big words) trying to scare everyone.

A bunch of cow dung.

It thinks other people are idiots.

Well, most major nuclear nations use computers to simulate nuclear explosions nowadays. actually exploding a bomb is bad to the environment. So most have moved to simulations.

Kind of like one normally takes a dump at the morning and then assume most people do the same in the morning.

My point is the overwhelming sense of insecurity of US, it has reached down to assumption, make-up , speculations to achieve its objective.
