Chinese defoliant weapons

I know the Chinese do posses flamethrowers, but its not a topic covered much in Sinodefence. I was just wondering - does the PLA still have defoliant weapons in service, and what is the status of that weapons programme? And how modern are Chinese flamethrowers? I also heard somewhere that the Type 59/69 tank was fitted with a flamethrower, but that is no longer used. Is China currently developing any up to date flame tanks? If there is detailed info about this topic, then I would suggest that Sinodefence opens a new section under ground forces for defoliant weapons.

Here is some data on a PLA flamethrower I found on the net. If anyone has additional data, I look forward to seeing it. The source is right here:

Type 74

Notes: This Chinese flamethrower is a derivative of the Russian LPO-50. It has been improved, so it has less weight and better range. This weapon is used by China, Vietnam, and various Chinese export customers, such as Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, and Albania.

In the real world, translation services cost money. I could make a fortune! But you can run it through google translator. The key points are:

Type 74
Entire weight 20 kg,
Length 850 mm
barrel diameter 14.5 mm

3 canisters of fuel
max range 40-45 m
recoil ~ 65 kg
refuel time ~ 4min

Second paragraph compares with Italy's T-148. The Type 74 only compared favorably in accuracy and power, but was worse in all other regards. Then it gives some specs of the T-148
