I wish there would be a school bus for these children as I used to walk almost the same distance to school when I was about their ages.

Man. I feel so sorry for these boys. when I was a kid in my first elementary school the walk to school was less than a 1/4 of a mile. The next school I went to it was about 1/2 a mile. Same for Junior High. My high school was two miles away. We rode a bus. In the USA many Americans take these things like school buses, personal autos for granted.

Awww C'mon :( What about those African lads and lasses. They run to school 20miles there and back and for a bit of fun , chase antelopes along the way. Thats one reason as to why they develop into such fine cross country and distance runners. Watching them lope along in cruise control and then step up a gear when required is simply amazing.

Im off to Hong Kong to attend a wedding and then on to Osaka (not the HK billionaire who wants to find a husband for his daughter)though i wouldnt mind if it was) so ill see ya in a couple of weeks.

That's a pretty brave kid right there with the stick. I know he was trying to save his class mates from the attacker, but...young man...your gung fu is not good enough...yet.

That's one brave kid. The kid has a better chance by grabbing sands and try to throw it into the attacker's eyes.

Aww...cute, but slightly dangerous for the kids to ride like that without a helmet, than again it's an electric bike (not sure if those are less dangerous than the motor scooter).

oxcjS.jpg

Definitely safer than a scooter as the e-bike is slower, weight less and much more controllable. As the other said, it is dangerous to ride like this on road with vehicle, but people have to understand that not everyone have a car and IMO it is not THAT dangerous. I don't know which province this is taken, but if you are in most part of Guangdong and keep right, it is pretty safe as the unspoken rule on the road is that the right lane is for slower moving vehicle, like motorcycle, bicycle and "agriculture use" vehicle like the tricycle
