i'd think these trains are more environmentally friendly, reduce reliance on cars, which is a great thing. if u can get to places just as fast, then i think it's all worth it

you can get to places much faster! These trains can go up to 400 km/h, with an average of 150 km/h to 200 km/h on high traffic routes.

Two test runs were done and both exceeded 480 Km/h, the faster of the two is at 486.1km.

This broke the record set by the same train on 28th September 2010 of 416km/h

The 220km long test run took 34 min to complete, an average of about 388km/h .

any body know how much to buy a tick for this fast train? some people think that these high-speed rail operations, not necessarily to make money, like Shanghai's maglev train the same.
but this is not my oppinion.

I must say the last image is the most important one. :p .
Just what I was thinking. I remember when I rode on a train a few years back, and there was no air conditioning (spoiled American here). As the train passed fields, you had to endure the manure fertilizer smell.

when the trip is shorter than 1000 KMs,HSR is much more attractive than air flight.

A netizen was able to provide the information regarding the cost for the average fare on the Guangzhou-Wuhan high-speed rail line. When the complete line is finished next year, the Beijing-Shanghai line will be comparable in length and ticket costs should be similar to Guangzhou-Wuhan line.
