it may indeed be a more profound derivative of the z-8/18 family, there were rumours a little while back that something like that might be happening, with even some speculative CGIs showing a helicopter that looked somewhere between aw101 and nh90

Just a maybe stupid question again, but was there ever a Z-12, -13, -14 and I also never heard anything on a Z-16 and Z-17 since the Z-18 is confirmed.

China regional jetliner ARJ21-700 new commercial route from Chengdu to Shangrao unveiled

据中新网成都12月13日(杨珺 安源)报道，13日13时，伴随着飞机有力的轰鸣声由远及近，航班号为EU6675的ARJ21国产飞机经过2个半小时的飞行从天府之国成都安全抵达江南鱼米之乡上饶。这标志着成都航空国内支线航线——成都至上饶航线首航成功，更标志着ARJ21商业运营向前迈进新的一步。
Chengdu Airlines has successively opened Chengdu-Shanghai Hongqiao , Chengdu to Changsha to Shanghai Hongqiao, Chengdu to Jinan, Chengdu to Hefei and other trunk commercial routes with ARJ21 jets. THe current new one Chengdu to Shangrao route is the first time that ARJ21 been put into regional route service, Shangrao Sanqingshan Airport has become the world's first regional airport for Chinese civil aircraft ARJ21 jets.

According to Chengdu Airlines,the ARJ21 has maintained a high seat occupancy rate of nearly 90% since its commercial operation. Up to now, Chengdu Airlines has received a total of three ARJ21 aircrafts, a total of nearly 1200 hours of safe flight, carrying over 30,000 passengers.
