Is there any news on the AG600 ?
There were rumours about first flight around end of July, are these still credible ?

Here it is apparently there is some delay
CAIGA, a subsidiary of AVIC, admits to having encountered problems in the development of the AG600 seaplane. The first flight was scheduled for the end of June.

Experts from the 603 Institute, another subsidiary of AVIC, are starting to intervene to move the project forward, which has stopped rolling

Big order book but when are they going to be delivered

Longer it goes on more orders will cancel

Is ARJ21 in production yet ?

Have we got a factory which shows all the ARJ21 under construction?

How many orders for ARJ21?

The buyers are mostly state-owned airlines, so there are unlikely to be cancellations.

So the delay is acceptable ?

I don't know what you mean by this

This is the reason why company's fail there is such a thing as too much state control

Things are easy government is involved then the collapse happens

The aviation market is a one of the toughest markets, if china wants success in this sector they have to be ruthless and get out the service

Relying on government orders is not a solution if you want to conquer the international aviation market

Off course ARJ21 and C919 were not designed for international market as such but you get my point

Government should not spoil COMAC and turn up the heat

last time we saw at 4 in various stage of completion.the production was held up because there is delay in granting certificate for production. But they did receive the certificate in July this year
As well they are moving into pulsed production plant to increase production

Critic to ARJ 21 is unwarranted because even your idol Japan suffer the same delay as of now MRJ has not even receive design certification let alone production certificate. It has been delay by 10 years too. 2 or 3 years more than Comac. Even with Mitsubishi has all kind of access to western technology that is denied to China

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has confirmed a two-year delay to the MRJ regional jet programme, the fifth time its schedule has been pushed back since launching in 2008.

The first MRJ90 is now targeted to be delivered to launch customer All Nippon Airways in mid-2020, from a former goal of mid-2018.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued certification for serial production of the Comac ARJ21-700, meaning the manufacturer can now deliver airplanes without the need to gain a separate certificate for each example. The approval, issued on July 9, comes some two and a half years after the airplane gained its type certificate and more than a year and a half after launch customer Chengdu Airlines took first delivery. Now flying two of the airplanes in a 90-seat configuration, Chengdu expects to receive five more of an order for 30 by the end of the year.

During a delivery ceremony in Shanghai, CAAC deputy director Li Jian said he hoped the issuance of the production certificate would mark a “new starting point” for Comac, from where the company could concentrate on solving problems that surfaced during the airplane’s operation. He also called for “an attitude of being responsible to the party and the people,” and for Comac to further integrate design, production and services into safety and operation management systems. He added that that the CAAC would support the ARJ21 program as always, and regulate for continuous improvement in production and operation “to ensure that the aircraft operates safely and smoothly and achieves commercial success.”

Also speaking during the July 9 ceremony, Comac president He Dongfeng promised to develop the ARJ21 into an aircraft that “airlines are willing to purchase, pilots are willing to fly and [on which] passengers are willing to ride.” He added that Comac intends to accelerate production to satisfy the shortage of Chinese civil aircraft and make new contributions to building China into a manufacturing power.

Yang Shuanchang, deputy director general of the equipment industry department of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), said the ARJ21 will help serve as the basis for development of other civil airplanes such as the C919, which flew for the first time on May 5. Schedules now call for that airplane to gain Chinese certification in 2019.

Comac claims to have accumulated orders for 413 ARJ21s from 19 customers.

I'm not even Japanese, as a matter of fact I've never been to Japan, come to think of it I don't even know any Japanese

But anyway looks like production is now under way and more units will be delivered

Do you have photo of ARJ21 assembly line ?

Because reading your post, everytime Japan come up with new ships or plane. You just drool with praise. Because supposedly high quality of Japanese product!

China maglev helicopter concept study. Not sure what will come up of this study but still worth it showing now they are getting into new concept instead of copying

CHRDI ( China Helicopter Research & Development Institute ), a subsidiary of the Chinese helicopter manufacturer AVICopter, is continuing to develop its "plane concept", a Maglev helicopter drone that replaces the mechanical rotor transmission part with two magnetic rings.

Although the term "Maglev" is used here a bit by language abuse, but the rotating part of this drone designed in such a way makes it possible to simplify the transmission, reduce the induced noise and the mechanical stresses, and at the same time the power necessary which will increase the autonomy of the aircraft, in equal amount of stored energy.

And that's exactly what CHRDI is looking for in terms of the benefits of launching this project, presented for the first time in the form of a mock-up at the 2016 Zhuhai Air Show.

At the 4th edition of China Helicopter Exhibition, which took place last week in Tianjin, CHRDI came back with the same Maglev heliidrone but slightly different design.

While the aircraft maintains the same aerodynamic wing configuration, with the main rotor in the middle of the cell and two thrusters at the rear serving as the default control surface, it appears to have abandoned the double inverted V- adopts a double vertical tailplane, which is larger, to ensure better stability.

The whole body also appears thicker than the first concept.

For now, CHRDI engineers seem to be still in the preliminary design stage for their Maglev drone. According to a video broadcast by the design office, a small-scale remote guided demonstrator was built and has already carried out several test flights.

The machine, a little rudimentary, seems to be realized to test stability and flight control. The "Maglev" part would be absent if one believes the images in the video. The large central rotor seen on the models gives way to the two smaller ones installed symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis, probably to reduce the difficulty of controlling the roll stability for example.

, we can expect to see more and more of this kind of concept-project emerge.

Among the projects currently under development are the electromagnetic suspension for ground combat vehicles at NORINCO, the electromagnetic rocket catapulting of aerospace rockets at CASIC, or the electromagnetic launching of missiles and torpedoes at the Academy of Sciences of the Chinese navy.
