It did mention pilot in the article. ( As the highlight part meant communication with the test pilot) But whether the article meant ground pilot who remotely control the UAV or test pilot actually flying the plane inside the cockpit is up for debate. ;)

If it is a manned aircraft, it must be related to the recently circulated rumour in Chinese internet on a supersonic aircraft with flight performance similar to Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird. It is exciting time, does not matter if it is UAV or a new manned aircraft.

So... XAC was building h6 during 1990s, that's pretty sure. What about 2000s? h6m seem to be refitted old h6f. What about h6g? Are they also refits or are they actually new builds, as scramble.nl suggests? (their source?)

If they are new builds, it'd suggest XAC had parallel production lines for jh7a and h6g.
If they are not new builds it's possible XAC basically switched around their workforce and production plant room to produce one OR the other type. Producing jh7a from 2003 to 2011 or so, then switching over to h6k and producing it from then onward. (but is it possible to switch the production line to another type in mere months? Just how fast did the early h6k get produced?)

Since h6k is still getting produced, it might be another signal that we simply won't see another newly produced jh7. Ever.

A new light attack helicopter has made its maiden flight. Its called the Z-11WB and its based off of the AC-311. This could be China's answer to the AH-6 Little Bird for special forces support.
