There are many blimps in different seizes, for civil and commercial use. But I never heard of Chinese zeppelins, nothing Kirov. :(

Police also use small blimp UAVs.

But for military use, I can only find this.
A Shaobing-3(哨兵3, Sentry-3) developed by 605th Institute ((China) Special (Aerial) Vehicle Research Institute (SVRI, 中国特种飞行器研究所) was put into test in Hubei.

They could use those for monitoring highways, railroad tracks, dams and so.

Back to WWII, US airships were filled with helium, and German airships were mostly filled with hydrogen because helium wasn't vastly available in Germany while the US had great stockpile of them. When airships became outdated, the US sold most of their helium reserve and it is rarely available today. Does anyone know what kind of gas which was filled in these airships?

Interesting. Any reference or link to the so-call rumors?
from a post in CJDBY about PLA's black Technology I read years ago. Can't find it now.

Just Googled relevant papers , think it is a hot topic, but still at early development stage
