same pic as what deino posted in the flanker thread: j-16 carrying PL-15 and PL-10... Hopefully, along with J-10C, those two missiles are now standard A2A munitions for them. In time, PL-12 and PL-8 variants should hopefully cease production and all older 4th gen aircraft will be fitted with PL-15 and PL-10 capability.

possible close up of PL-10's seeker/gimbal in trailer for the movie "sky hunter"... but I'm wondering if it's legit or if it is just a stand in prop.

Obviously the seeker/gimbal looks consistent with what we'd expect for it, and the movie seems to use footage of a lot of real PLAAF hardware so I imagine it's plausible for the PL-10 seeker image to be real as well, but hard to say...

What is this is this PLXX?
PLA Air Force's new AAM. It is estimated that the total length is about 5.79 m, the total diameter is about 306 mm, the weight is close to about 600 kg of YJ - 91. This missile is speculated as Extra long radar killing(AEW) missile similar to Russian KS-172.

KS-172 is dead. It pretty much lost out to R-37/RVV-BD - performance specs are similar, but the missile is significantly more compact, to the point that it will fit inside the Su-57's bays (which is probably what clinched the deal).
