China's transport, tanker & heavy lift aircraft

Anyone have footage or photos on how they they transport President Xi's Hongqi L5 state limos on his state visits ? I presume a minimum of two limos are transported on the Y20 now. The PRC is now only three world leaders that produce their own indigenous state limos and have the airlift capabilities to fly it over.

The first time I noticed Chinese leader was riding in a Hongqi L5 limo in another country was Xi's visit to New Zealand in 2014. Then this year it was non-stop in the Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Argentina and this week in Italy.

In Italy

In Argentina

In Spain

In Portugal

In New Zealand

At least 60 L5 were used at the APEC summit which is balling it when each one costs over $900,000usd or twice the price of a Rolls Royce, only the US and Russian presidents flew in their own rides.

Y-20? i think they just stick it in the cargo in the Air China plane they charter everytime Xi Dada goes abroad. I don't think they use any military transport at all, this is China not the US President.

I highly doubt it since there is always two L5s ready, prepped and detailed on the tarmac before his Air China 747 lands shows that there is another transport plane flying in at least four cars around with two at his immediate visit and another two at his next destination. China will be at the zenith of her power when a Chinese president flies in a Chinese made plane and rides in a Chinese made state limo ! The Russian president's new custom made limo is not really per say the equivalent as the US president's Cadillac or the PRC president's Hongqi as they are both brands and models that are also sold to the public as well.

The limos are flown by another Air China Cargo 747 B-2475.

I wonder why the back of the car is pixelated since there are no plates on his limos ? The rear of the 747 can fit four 20+ feet long L5s in it or there are two of these cargo planes when he flies over for state visits ? Maybe this is why they are using the smaller L5 instead of the larger L9 limos that you see him using in the National Day parades.

That photo was taken during Xi's visit to New Zealand 2014. The car actually had Beijing registered plate on it. See the video here at 00:01:17
However this time to France, Monaco and Italy, there is no plate. See this video at 00:03:15

As of the reason of L5 instead of L9, the length should be the reason. As you can see from the photo, there car does has any rotating platform when loaded, so the car will be fixed in the cargo hold just like that, L9 would be too long. If there is some kind of rotation platform, L9 would be possible. But remember the cargo plane is an ordinary plane serving Air China, it is not possible to make much heavy duty modification to it.

运20飞机自从配装了大涵道比涡扇发动机后,类似民航飞机的推力管理技术也被写进了设计要求中,唐总听闻N1 Trim具有降噪的效果,指示运20飞机也要有这项技术。
Since mounting of large bypass turbofan engine, thrust management technology similar to civilian airliner has been introduced into Y-20's design specification. Chief Tang (Changhong) instructed that Y-20 must have N1 Trim after hearing that it has noise reduction effect.
The interesting thing is not "N1 Trim", but the large bypass turbofan engine. In Chinese practice, that can only be anything above 4 which is WS-20. WS-18/DK30 are regarded as medium bypass.

Why develop WS-20 and CJ-1000 separately when they can simply pool their resources and build two variants of the same core instead?
