China's transport, tanker & heavy lift aircraft

Here's an article about the possibility of the An-225 can improve the logistic of the PLA greatly.

A recent deal between

to restart production of the largest-ever cargo plane could potentially remedy the logistical woes of China's People's Liberation Army.

China's military, still

for moving troops and heavy freight, could gain a lot from having the gigantic aircraft.

The plane, the

, holds 240 world records for its size and strength. It has six massive engines creating over 300,000 pounds of thrust, and the plane can

Such capability would be game-changing for the People's Republic of China.

“It would provide China with the large and global lift that not even the US has possessed, except by rental,” wrote

For the most part, as Singer mentioned, China will rent the massive planes, but the agreement does allow for China to domestically build An-225s.

Additionally, the

But the herculean plane lends itself to civil applications too. China could easily use it to move construction supplies, to offload its

As Marcus Weisgerber at

points out, the adoption of old, soviet-era technology from Ukraine is an instance of history repeating itself, as China's sole aircraft carrier,

This beast would be awesome

200 tons would lift 3 X MBT in a single go

The C5 Galaxy can lift 2 X MBT

C17 can do the single unit
It would be nice to have four of these and be able to quickly bring in 12 MBTs at a go.

but you better have total air dominance in the air, and cleared out he approach of ANY AAW on the ground because these would be big fat juicy targets.

I believe China mainly would use inside China territory, so air dominance shouldn't be an issue .... the point is China's force would be mobile enough so the number of regular troops could be further reduced, also the number of hardware (mainly MBT) could be reduced as well ...... good choice

For domestic deployments, China's high speed rail is a far bigger asset to transport troops and supplies rapidly across vast distances.
