Yea, I think they can definitely fit a bigger engine on the production version of the Y-20. It's just shame that the Chinese have yet to figure out anything other than the WS-10A.
Can anyone help me out again ... there were a few rumors about the 5. Y-20 having had its maiden flight yesterday ?!!
To admit so far I know:
Aircraft no. 1 = 20001 - CFTE serial 781 (dark grey - nearly black)
Aircraft no. 2 = most likely static test
Aircraft no. 3 = 20003 (?) - CFTE serial 783 (light grey - seen at Zhuhai)
Aircraft no. 4 = 20004 (?) - reportedly finished in February 2014 but not confirmed so far

PS: other reports however said 20004 is again omitted similar to J-20 2014 ! ... but these would then also only 4 at best.

Yes, they are however not "bombers " but in fact Y-7LH or also known as HYJ-7 based on the Y-7-100C2 transports build to train navigators and bombardiers of the H-6 bomber.
