China's SCS Strategy Thread

If you were in any position to state such words I would be astonished. But, unfortunately for you, you don't have a damn word about those issues. So just stay calm and watch instead.

Those pictures show how your 'de facto' looks like.

Let's put it this way, China have thousands of soldiers stationed on those islands 24/7, China have dozens of ships in SCS water 24/7, US and Japan come every few month and stay for a few hours.

China never stop building on those islands or patrol those oceans 24/7 past few years.

This is what 'de facto' looks like.

That is not my word but Admiral Wu Shengli word who told it to Admiral Richardson in no uncertain term

As Taxiya said China has soldier,Troop, ships, plane on 20 bases 24/7 year around in SCS, run regular flight, ship, tourism, exploit the sea with fishing armada
US and Japan only come once or twice a year So who you think had defacto control over those SCS?

The head of the People’s Liberation Army Navy told his U.S. counterpart that China has no intention of stopping its island building campaign in the South China Sea Spratly Islands,

.

In the meeting between Adm. Wu Shengli and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson, state-controlled media reported Wu told Richardson China would complete its push to outfit several artificial islands off the coast of the Philippines despite an international arbitration tribunal ruling last week that invalidated China’s expansive claims in the South China Sea.

“We will never stop our construction on the Nansha Islands [Spratly] halfway… the Nansha Islands are China’s inherent territory, and our necessary construction on the islands is reasonable, justified and lawful,” PLAN’s Wu Shengli told Richardson, as quoted by the Xinhua News Agency on Monday.
“Any attempt to force China to give in through flexing military muscles will only have the opposite effect.”

Well, whatever Chinese claims in the SCS are, those pictures will surely won't be as desktop image for many PRC's officials for years. Two carriers from two countries who don't fear anyone within PRC's claims in the Pacific go hand in hand. There's no stronger message than 'come go at us' than this in something that's called by Xinhua as 'backyard'.

You gonna need a lot more of those decked with F-35s to make China sit up.

Meanwhile, enjoy watching China in your rearview mirror.

In wartime, it will be those Jap carriers that are turned into reefs first.
Far too long of an supply line from Japan to the SCS.
And yeah, ask Murrica for support, but I doubt that their fleet and supply bases will survive for long either.

The Dongfengs will wash and scrub all nations clean who provide basings to them. Philippines realized this, and hopefully Singapore will eventually as well. If they aren't already too retarded for this at this point...

Let's say that the US carrier and the Japanese 'carrier' end up in a fight with the Chinese Navy in the SCS.

The US and Japanese forces will be trying to blockade China and shut down all trade in the SCS. In comparison, the vast majority of the 600million people in ASEAN (South East Asia) will be neutral and will be supporting China in keeping the trade flowing from ASEAN to China through the SCS. China is the world's largest trading nation and sits at the centre of all the Asian trade flows.

So if the US ever tries to use its carriers against China in the SCS, the US will lose ASEAN to defacto Chinese hegemony

US accepted that the islands are owned by China in 1947. China defends the freedom of navigation in the area against all comers ( a few pirates in the South of the sea but they are still troublesome ) every hour of the year. US appears occasionally to support their claim that they have the "right" to intimidate countries, a "right" that is explicitly denied by the Charter of the United Nations.

A true FON would have a boat full of sailors and marines go ashore and have a picnic on the beach. All they did was spin defiance by lowering the bar.
