China's panzerfaust, a really small RPG

Rifle grenade probably won't penetrate t72 side armor. For same tech 40mm isn't going to beat 70mm. More accurate maybe.

The HQ commander said in the article for distant targets you can aim from shoulder. Might need goggles or to shut your eyes for a moment?

.. seems no one wants to understand People's War concept. It's not some socialist wish washy self love making. People's War brought communists to power, took half of Korea from USA, and faced off Soviet Union. If you can carry anti-tank like you carry grenades, it is a huge power to entrenched defender.

You don`t close you eyes against bakblasts. that gives you major burns.

And peoples war doesn`t mean you cant make effective weapons. AKs are a brilliant example of this.
You just don`t want to admit that china can makes mistakes as well;)
Since there isn`t a modern equivalent, this is clearly a failed weapon

If my arm can take it my face can too.

Man you really go out of your way to do this. I've defeated your every point so now you just parrot statements you already made. The weapon was specificly to arm mass infantry against mass tanks. There's no modern equivalent of a spear either. Is that a failed weapon?

I understand the people’s war concept because here in Romania was such a concept in the 70`s even the 80`s. When Romania broke the military relations with the Warsaw Pact (remain only the political one).
In this concept not only the regular army fight with the invader but the whole population, young’s, olds, woman’s everybody. Military training was made in factories, schools, high schools. The schools were organized in military stile. I was a group leader, in our class was three groups ad we have our own class leader and the school have a leader (the directors daughter he he he).
Probably in a situation of partisan war when is important to hide well the weapons would some effect.

If it was successfull, they would have made another version with better armour penetration and better range, but the same firing method.
They made better spears.

Again, there is no problem to make the weapon 15 cm longer, but in the same numbers for mass deployment.

When, or if you ever serve in the army, you see that this is the last thing you want.

Defeated my every point? I don`t really see that

In a peoples war it is even more important to have a weapon that is easy to aim, since you wouldn`t have really good training.
And Panda, don`t even try to say that the chinese people would be just as well train as proffessional soldiers

People's War also includes conventional war, which was the case second half of Chinese Civil War and for all of Korea. The idea is to apply a mobile, fluid mass against a concentrated mechanical power. It's different from active defense because you're not try to counter every attack. You are willing to yield territory to achieve fluidity for yourself. For example, if I insist on hold my line, my infantry cannot advance out of their positions to surround you. But if I yield at carefully chosen spots and times, I can move my infantry in my prepared terrain. Type 79 fits this doctrine perfectly, because it gives high mobility and high mass.

Don’t do that goldenpanda, it will burn your hair.

But I burn soviet tanker more -- people's war! ;)

No. Again, it is a bad weapon and difficult to aim. Your masses can easily carrie a M72 size weapon. Or do your peoples war need bad weapons to get the necessary casualties?

Let me see, do I go with something tested by *frontline troops in 3 military regions*, or do I make it 15cm longer, because Skorzeny wants it that way?
