China wants to buy Facebook?!

I think Gordan Chang wanted to kill Mark Zuckerberg's zeal of expanding into China. The PR nightmare that would result from China being part owner of Facebook would kill it. That story did come out on the Forth of July. Who knows Google could have paid Chang to plant that story. Google has charged Facebook with those type of tactics. Like they don't do it themselves against their competition? How embarrassing it would be if Facebook was a success in China. Not sure if it was linked on this forum or another but there was a story that while big internet companies like Twitter aren't making a profit, their Chinese counterparts are by a lot.

That'd be awesome of it is. I can then connect with my Chengdu friends.

When I went on vacation in Beijing last year I could not access the site, how is it possible that a country wants to buy it if it's block there ...

The chinese version of facebook (i.e. renren) has helped me greatly in reconnecting with my elementary school friends (that's over 10yrs ago). IMO social networking sites like facebook (or any other equivalent) is useful in keeping track of your friends so that you can contact them whenever u want instead of having to dig through your basement trying to find that little phone book you kept years ago.

I heard a news that says in India they are already suffering from what some called "social network fatigue". That people are logging in less time than before.

Because it was a lie created by Gordan Chang. Mark Zuckerberg's enthusiasm for getting into China must've irked Gordo. So he made that up around the Fourth of July holiday to probably spark anger at Facebook. Gordo likes Google for its stand against China and since Facebook is Google's competition and beating them these days... add two and two together.

That makes sense, Thanks ...

A recently study has shown that playing facebook make people feeling upset because all faces on the wall look happy. That's what people wanna show off when they post their photos on the wall despite their real lives. But when you see others look happier, you feel upset.

They can always take anti-depressing medication. Any pics or images of happy faces will make them ever more depressing anyway or, IMO get a life and then one could feel better.
