Surely not ! First of all there is no air-launched variant of the YJ-62, which itself is a coastal defence missile system and second the YJ-83 is not an AAM but a AShM so far only seen on the J-15.

By the way, that "yellow bird just out of the factory" is already more than three years old and was first spotted on 21. February 2014.

according to what i read, J16 does carry YJ-62 and YJ-83, both are AshM of different ranges.
correct, the' yellow bird' is not recent, just want to highlight how fast this program has proceeded; in fact the first J16 was flew & tested in 17 October 2011 by Shengyang.

And not a maximum weapon load of 12 tons all Flankers max 8 tons except more big and different Su-34 seems possible up to 9.5 tons.
