Someone said it may be a Sapsan-E targeting pod or a domestic made optronics pod under intake.

No, this is 100% for sure the same pod as seen on the JH-7A and advertised on this leaflet at Zhuhai.

ECM pod KG-600 on JH-7A + Su-30MKK.png

Besides, the KG-600 ECM pod maybe interfere with the active jamming pods mounted on the wing tips.

That might be an argument ... but maybe it does not, maybe it has other options, the standard jammer don't have ... at least both are carried at the same time.

It's nice to have Deino's confirmation. :)

I am quite curious whether KG-600 is just a self-defense jamming pod or a jamming pod for offensive role, such as SEAD or even DEAD mission. Before the birth of EA-18G, Iron Hand or Wild Weasel missions are usually performed by second-tier fighter bomber, such as F-105F/G or F-4G. Following the same logic, JH-7A is quite suitable for such mission. But using Su-30MKK in this role???

On April 17, a regiment of the air force under the Lanzhou Military Area Command (MAC) of Chinese People's Liberation Army conducts live ammunition training on the plateau. It aims to temper the combat skills of J-11 pilots.

The air force of Chengdu Military Area Command of Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a combat drill on April 21. J-11 fighters participated in the training, which has effectively improved the decision-making ability of the troops, and tactical level of the pilots.

Its a "growler" clone, of course fighters should employ EW when they go in hot??? the Su-30 is the all arounder, much like the USN's F-18 Super Hornet.
