So according this poster, they are not 2 different missile but 2 different TELs for the same missile (i.e. DF-41) for but for different roles/situations? Any thoughts on this?

Plus, I decided to make collection of the current DF-41 images.

Look SOC files, 4 Brigades with about 10 DF-5A and 10 DF-5B
You have a file on 2nd Artilery now Army Rocket Force but where ? with KMZ files for all units you use it with Google Earth.

So I assume all the pictures in your post show the tunnel version, which is supposed to have a lower profile than the open-road version? It makes sense if you think about it: the tunnel version has to be driven by 2 drivers, one on the left and the other on the right. It's probably OK in a tunnel when driven with low speed. But such an arrangement will be a hazard on the open road, especially when negotiating a curve. The open-road version has to be driven by one driver only. The launching tube has to sit higher so it will not obstruct the driver's vision to either side. If you look at the Russian TEL carefully, it can indeed be driven by one driver.

Very interesting. Thanks for the explanation. And yes, the TEL in the collection is allegedly the underground-tunnel version, while the the TEL attached below in the cross-country version. Notice how much more rugged it looks.

Any info on the TEL and the manufacturing company?
