Is there a DF-41 test planned? -

DF-41 may have already entered service this year, according to recent official Chinese news. The news did not mention the name of the missile, but only said that "a new strategic missile has entered service this year" along with other notable achievements in defense including J-20 (named). DF-41 is considered the most likely candidate for this missile. The development of DF-41 appears to be quite smooth; its multiple test launches have been all successful in the last few years.

Yes according to Henri K need confirmation from Gertz
Here is google translation

The forces of the Chinese rockets could carry out a new test of its mobile intercontinental missile DF-41 , December 12 to 12:37 local time, in the West of China, if one believes the analysis of two messages to Airmen air (NOTAM).

Indeed, the NOTAM A3178 / 16 and A3182 / 16 indicate the prohibition to all flyover above two air segments, and in an area that measures 395 km long and 60 km wide. The center of this area is located about 800 km South of the space launch center in Taiyuan (CLEC), also one of the leading Chinese ballistic test sites.

Both NOTAMs that signal the supposed test of the DF-41 ICBM

The element that makes think that this trial of December 12 is that of the Chinese DF-41 ICBM is that areas identified with its NOTAMs are identical to those of December 4, 2015.

According to Pentagon officials, quoted by Bill Gertz in

, China conducted a test DF-41 with two independent warheads (MIRV) day of December 4, 2015, followed by

.

If this test of 12 December is indeed a new DF-41 shooting, there should be at least the 7th Chinese ICBM test of this new generation, capable of being launched from a TEL (Tractor-Erector-Launcher) mobile and equipped MiRVs. The previous test dates back to April 12 this year.

The fact that the impact area is just 800 km from the launch site suggests that the missile will borrow a bell trajectory. The length of the zone, almost 400 km, shows that MiRVs could also be involved in the trial.

It is noteworthy that the Chinese will also conduct another missile launch in the same day, a little more than seven hours after the test of DF-41. Shooting will take place from the launch center Jiquan (JSLC), the NOTAM is the same as of December 6, 2016. According to our analysis (see the folder "

") , it would be this time a trial SRBM type DF-15C .

Pretty sure we've had quite a few images of DF-41 before... The CDF thread has a good archive of the few but good pictures we've had of it before.

I can think of only 2 clear ICBM TEL. But they are slightly different from each other. The TEL posted by SinoSoldier is simliar to the 1st image below. The 2nd one is still a mystery.

We've also had a few pictures of it from the front over the years, such as these:

Clearly the TEL and missile tube have undergone some minor design changes over the years.
