There should never be nuclear posturing threats by any nation and their military. Countries that have nuclear capabilities are now knowledgeable of missile movements from intelligence gathered from cyber-space etc. All sensible and responsible major powers should in fact be wary of intentional or "accidental" nuclear missile launches by rogue states and terrorist inspired countries; especially their use of black-mails against any country. Major nuclear powers like US, Russia and China know the consequences of any nuclear war where no one wins, and results will be devastations to cities and innocent citizens. Peace is important for all people (present and future generations). The alternative is unimaginable. Let the OWLS (Diplomats) continue to advise and inspire the major nations' leaders, and never allow the HAWKS to gain the upper hand. Difficult BUT possible thru' pragmatic meetings & "Thinking Heart" negotiations.

I agree. Now, this is a better argument than some others that have been presented here.

Lol, no I'm just the only one that's been patient to slog through the mud with you... many others have already given up on you because your posts tend to be a little trollsy

The entire logical process I described is something that we all constantly try to practice here, and even if you yourself have not practiced it, you have been on this forum for quite a few years now and the fact that you're unable to reach the same conclusion as myself and others did and instead constantly try to challenge conclusions without offering your own thought process, makes everyone suspect as to what your intentions are.

I don't know if anyone has posted these photo, but it's new for me and really thrilling.;)

This is what CNS FFG-514 (053H class) was looked like:

and this is FFG-514 after a "test".

The bridge was smashed down as the hull was expanded horizontally by brute force, indicating that it was destroyed by something with massive kinect energy from direct above.

A cruise ASM strikes on side. This scene does not seem caused by an YJ missile. And I don't think any airforce is practicing dive-bomb to surface target in 21 century.

It probably be a consequence of an AShBM hit with an inhert warhead. What do you guys think?

Jeffrey Lin at Popular Science reported the 514 test as possibly involving an inert large ASM such as YJ-62 or YJ-12. A direct hit from an ASBM should do much more damage.

I read on the Chinese forum few days ago that DF-21D/26 test was done on this ship in the picture. The ship was sunk then salvaged and bring back to port and analyzed. They are Supposedly the same ship in the 3 pictures but modified at different times . But I can't be sure how reliable is the information.

Yes...I would have to see some kind of an official report...including the original announcements for the test and warning international shipping.

I watch for these things, and have contacts within the government. II have not heard or seen any indications of this so I view it as very, very, unlikely.

Any live fire of a DF-21D into the ocean and over international waters would have been picked up by all sorts of reporting station, both military and non-military, from numerous countries.

Such tests over international waters require notification, exclusion zones, eytc, just like they do when they send a carrier or other vessels out to exercise...and then perform live fire exercises with other missiles and guns.

None of that has ever happened...and if they did it without informing anyone, a HUGE stink would have been raised.

So, as I say, it is extremely unlikely.

They could launch from further inland, ex. Gobi Desert where they have conducted test launches in the past, and guide toward territorial waters. You would need a local military exclusion zone and high confidence of low CEP. But I suppose a low CEP would be a prerequisite for this type of weapon to begin with.

Really though it would make more sense I think to launch from another location towards a target in the Gobi Desert. To be as accurate a test as possible the target would have to be mobile at approx. 30kts relative speed with a profile size similar to that of a Destroyer or Carrier, conducting random maneuvers. The exercise of target acquisition and tracking would all be very similar to a real-world at sea scenario. The only thing they would really need to work on simulating is the electronic warfare environment aspect.

Why insert the Soviets comments ?
My guess is ... ...planting some malicious divide and conquer seeds to crack up the alliance between China & Russia

Yes, i'm actually a CIA operative and since most dealings between China and Russia are decided in this forum it's the best place for me to be.

Funny how defensive people here become immediately when someone doubts all these rumors and reports... "you doubt glorious China? Go home yankee spy".
