The number of IA-63 Pampa II is reaching 40 in time for Bicentennial

New boats for the Naval Academy: Construction has started!



On July 1st the first cutting steel sheets for the construction of the first of the two boats Instruction for Cadets (LICA) for the Naval Academy (ESNM) in Astillero Rio Santiago began.

Representatives of various naval, military and civilian areas witnessed the act including the General Manager of the Shipyard, engineer Daniel Romano were present; the Director of the ESNM, Captain Zenon Bolino; and the Project Head of the General Directorate of Material Navy, Captain Oscar Perata.

The LICA will be capable of practical and theoretical instruction for cadets, both inshore and offshore. It has equipment and systems in line with the regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). In its construction materials domestic manufacturing will be prioritized.


Its design features also allow the practice typical of a warship seamanship tasks. For its navigation capability across the sea and river coast, its specific purpose of instruction may be supplemented with relief work in case of natural disasters.

The new Argentine administration is now funding and repairing the military. The Submarine fleet now has funds to be at sea for periods of 90 day per year.

Brasil and Argentina agree to the sale of 24 Gripen NG fighters for $ 5,400 million

The Ministry of Defense of Brazil sold to the Argentine Air Force a total of 24 combat aircraft Gripen NG Swedish model, manufactured in Brazil, with an estimated value of 5,400 million dollars.

Brazil advances in the modernization of its aircraft carriers



The Brazilian portal "Defesa Aerea & Naval" offers more details on upgrading the aircraft carrier Sao Paulo NAe Brazilian Navy.
