i don't really know how to start this thread, but overall i felt that the quality of discussions and the diversity in this forum has dwindled a lot in the past few months. back when the j-20 just surfaced, the thread was super exciting to follow, as it is with the PLAN carrier discussions. if you're uninterested in those, you can be discussing about other topics, or opening some friendly ones where people will enter and chat.
since then, however, i felt a lot has changed. i don't see the same vibe in almost any of them, and we often miss out important topics and developments that might have occurred. we're often stuck with repetitive debates that gets nowhere, and even more importantly, sometimes some new topics that are introduced will be shut down without a flinch. although i understand the decisions of the moderators and their best intents to keep this forum orderly, sometimes i can't help but have a question mark of whether the discussion could be first observed. i had been a member of this forum for some time, and many of you should know how i roll on this forum. with that said, the topics i introduced are never meant to belittle or carry any intents or tones which can lead to inflammatory results. as a student, i'd have loved to bring academic topics to the table, which i think is very intriguing. i would hope discussions and introductions of new ideas, but more recently i realized a lot of threads were being unplugged, and some of the topics, in my opinion, are/should be rather far from being considered a candidate. although i can generally understand what the moderators see in those topics as potential red lights, the fact that certain topics that are even more sensitive are allowed, while others of lesser degrees are shut down, is really discouraging.
for myself, i have to admit i had grown very disdain and discouraged that i had personally participated and followed this forum less now.
once again i acknowledge the mods' efforts in this forum, but also for this, i feel this is an issue that must be expressed and the mods can consider examining and to determine whether it's the case and whether my thoughts are valid. even if it isn't, my opinions will merely be one more voice to demonstrate different opinions, nothing more.
