Not to get OT but I've always wonder why the Yazidis are the forgotten people and not on anyone's radar. If there is one group of folks who needs help the most and be taken in are the Yazidis. They are the ones who have suffered the most, have been absolutely displaced and their towns/homes totally destroyed. They also pose no security risk since they hate ISIS more than anyone in this world and ISIS/terrorist infiltrators can't even be in the their group as they would be quickly flushed out.

No!, we don't need to act fast, we need to sit back, take a chill pill and let these two do a little heavy lifting for a change, if China wants to join in?? Hey, have fun?? All this pressure will no doubt flush out a few rats, take em out, and watch along the cracks, where do you think these rats will go?? We need to "slam" the door shut on our borders, and I do mean "SLAM IT SHUT!"

Don't worry about that wall, President Trump will take care of that (and he'll get them mexicans to pay for it too) plus all those anchor babies that are in the good ole USA.

SCMP News said:
China’s President Xi Jingping has condemned the killing of a Chinese hostage by Islamic State extremists as Beijing confirmed for the time on Thursday the identity of the mainland captive as Fan Jinghui.

The Islamic State group said on Wednesday that it had killed Fan and Norwegian captive Ole Johan Grimsgaard-Ofstad after earlier demanding ransoms for the two men.

“Terrorism is a universal enemy of mankind,” Xi said on Thursday morning.

“China condemns all types of terrorism and will fight against any violent terrorism attacks that challenge human civilisation.”

Xi also said he had sent his condolences to Fan’s family in a statement issued in Manila, where he is attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.

Earlier on Thursday China’s ministry of foreign affairs had confirmed the identity of the Chinese hostage as Fan, who was put “up for sale”, along with Grimsgaard-Ofstad, by the extremist group in early September.

The Chinese ministry’s spokesman Hong Lei said the government had tried to save Fan after he was kidnapped by the extremists, but “the terrorism group ignored human conscience and morals”.

Hong said: “The Chinese government will do all it can to bring the killers to justice.

“We will continue working with the international community on counterterrorism in pursuit of maintaining world peace.”

The extremist group published two images of the men in the second-to-last page of its English-language magazine, saying they had been “executed after being abandoned by kafir nations and organisations”. “Kafir” is the Arabic word for infidel.

In the images, the men both appeared to have both been shot to death.

Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg told a news conference in Oslo that Grimsgaard-Ofstad, had most likely been killed.

“We condemn the killing,” Solberg said.

The deaths of the two men come days after 129 people were killed in Paris in the worst ever militant attacks on French soil, and as Moscow launched fresh air raids against IS in Syria after confirming a “terrorist attack” brought down a Russian passenger jet in Egypt last month.

I have heard some talking heads say Isis goal is to draw all the world into confrontation at once in that sense they are accomplishing their goal

They think too much, probably because most of them are too young to remember the cold war days. (So am I, actually)

Do you have any shame?

This is a mess created by the west led by the Coalition of the Willing™ (see below). What makes you think those two who have nothing to do with this mess should do "a little heavy lifting for a change"?

Your sense of entitlement is revolting.

coalition of the willing a group of nations agreeing to act together, especially with military involvement; the term has been particularly associated with those countries giving active support to American intervention in Iraq in 2003.

None Sir!

The US has been involved up to its AXX in other peoples problems, and social engineering? This is one of those "Kodak Moments" when our disparate friends have a clear picture of the real threat at hand and are displaying a firm resolve to up the ante, and deal with the problem! Mr. Obama needs to sit back, light up a cigarette, and thoughtfully contemplate how we got to this sad state of affairs, pulling out of Iraq, and abandoning all those worthies who trusted us to help them work for a better future of their own. So NO, we do NOT need to rush to do more, for your information, we have been engaged on every world front of need or crisis that I can possibly remember.

After that first cigarette, he needs to light up another and contemplate a logical and reasonable course of action for the United States of America, one that doesn't violate the sovereingnty of any of the remaining Arab Nation States that have been left in a shambles by the so called "Arab Spring"

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well brother!

Agreed. I misunderstood the perspective from your original post.

Not a problem sir, I love my country, I am able to look at her critically, as well as reverently? many of our "do gooder" policies and politicians display very poor manners when dealing with our friends, as well as poor judgement dealing with those whose intentions may be unclear at this time.

I am glad to see the French and the Russians step into this conflaguration, although I am very sad it took something akin to their own 9/11, my deep and sincere sorrow goes out to each and every family touched by this irrational religious hatred.

I have a friend who has served as a missionary in France for many years, someone whom I have been concerned about, but no doubt her only motivation is love for the French people, I wish I were so selfless, but alas I seem to lack the courage to step out as she does daily. I believe we have others on this forum who love the French and the Russian people as well.

and please do have a very Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you for your time to understand, feel free to pm me if I need further instruction??? I seem to know less and less the older I get?
