The piece of potential wreckage from MH370 was found on Reunion Island east of Madagascar. This morning there are reports of a suit case also being found.

Just day before yesterday my wife and I were talking about it and how weird it was that after all of this time nothing had been found or washed up on any coasts or islands...well, perhaps now it has.

Here's a video and more pics:

Around 1:30 AM in the morning of June 27th there was a collision between a tanker, the Marshall Islands-flagged MT STI Pamlico, and a Cruise ship, the Maltese flagged MV Celestyal Crystal, in the Dardanelles strait near Gallipoli, Turkey.

The tanker, which is double hulled, has a dead weight of over 38,000 tons and said to be caring 30,000 tons of flamable naphtha at the time.

The crusie ship, which has about a 3,000 ton dead weight, but a full displacemetn of almost 15,000 tons, had 852 passengers and 382 crew aboard at the time.

Despit significant damage to the bow of the cruise ship, there were no injureies aboard. The cargo ship suffered significant damage directly amidships, and took on a fifteen degree list,. There were also no injuries on the cargo ship. Both vessels were taken to port for repairs.

Ok I think people are taking this Dentist hunting of a lion a bit too seriously. C'mon he might have made a mistake believing the lion was legally hunted.

Mirage, I have hunted all my life. I can't do it anymore because of my disabilities now, but I remember on one occasion, while hunting for a Mule Deer, I ended up getting one with a very unique set of antlers...or rack, as we say.

I shot it for the food, and I field dressed it and then took it to the butcher so my family had good deer steak and roast and burgers for several months. But I did mounted the head and antler rack of that deer and have it to this day.

My grandkids love to come and look at it and have me explain it to them. I call him, "Buck," and they like to see, touch, and hear about buck.

This guy who killed the lion is a dentist and apparently very much into hunting.

People can spend their money however they want. He spent $50,000 dollars to hire two professional guides there in Africa who promised him he'd get a Lion. That's how it works. You spend the money, you get a license, and the guides take you to the game. You give them money upfront, but a large payment is held back until you get the animal.

Now, I would never spend that kind of money on anything like that. First, I do not have it and would spend it on grand kids education or something. But even if I did, why should I? I could hunt here in Idaho, Montana, etc. very cheaply and get what I need.

But some folks want to use their money that way...and the way I figure it, it is there money. I do not ask them for permission to spend mine...they do not have t get my permission to spend theirs.

Apparently, the two guides he hired lured this lion of the preserve and set it up so this man could get it. He used a bow.

Let me say something about that. Bow hunting big game is not an easy thing to do, and its not as safe as a gun. I probably would never hunt an animal that can kill and eat me with a bow. If you miss, or simply injure it, you are in great danger because you also have to be a lot closer.

But he got the lion...and then later it was discovered that the lion was from the preserve, and was well known.

Form everything I have read, I am not mad at the guy. If those guides did illegal things, then they are the ones who should be held to account. If it were discovered that this Dentist knowingly encouraged or plotted with them to do something illegal...then he should be held to account for breaking whatever laws.

But everything I have read tells me that the man went about it the right way from here in the states. He spent a lot of money, got a license, got two professional guides, and then went over there to do his hunt. It was probably the hunt of a life time for him. Lots of people do the same every year.

As to the outrage...it is a sensational thing made up by the media and a few interest groups.

But to have people giving the guy death threats? To have him have to close his dental practice and go into hiding over this? That's just plain outrageous...and these media outlets who are encouraging it or playing it up should be ashamed.

We do have MUCH MORE serious things that are truly unsettling. Like the beheading of children by terrorist fanatics. The wanton killing of innocent people simply because they will not give into someone else's ideas. The horrible impact of drug trafficking. The revelation that certain organizations involved in the wanton butchering of the unborn are illegally selling their body parts that has come out here in the states, which, IMHO, is reminiscent of people like Mengele.

Where's the outrage over those things? They are truly horrific where innocent human life is being taken.

Anyhow, sorry for the rant.

My own feeling is that this dentist simply was the victim of an unfortunate set of events that were in all likelihood not his fault in the least. But as I say...if it were shown that he did conspire to illegally shoot the animal, then he should be responsible for the fines or whatever punishment that would go with that.

Well put amigo!!!! You took the words out of my mouth.
Personally I am not a hunter (unless you count fishing), however I respect those that treat it like a sport and consume that which they acquire. Form my understanding the “big game hunter” followed the procedure and was tricked by the people he paid.

The outrage is silly and uncalled for. The progressive socialist media have a hand in making this a drama and will use this “invented tragedy” to further their own agenda and take away another human activity, i.e. banning hunting in Africa or having prohibitively costly hunting licenses and then they will complain that rich people are killers. When will this double standard and hypocrisy end!

PS you were not ranting, simple expressing the frustration that many people in the world feel.

Following the incident, court documents emerged showing Palmer was fined $3,000 and given a year's probation after pleading guilty over the illegal killing of a black bear in Wisconsin in 2006.

According The Associated Press, citing the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, the dentist was also the subject of a sexual harassment complaint settled in 2006. He admitting no wrongdoing and agreed to pay a former receptionist more than $127,000, the AP said.

He was also convicted in Minnesota court in 2003 for fishing without a licence.

Well, they can probably dredge up all kind of wrong doings on anyone over their life.

The only real issue here is whether or not he did anything illegal in this.

If he did...then he should be held accountable for it. But since they are literally spending tens of millions of dollars of air time to go after him personally...my guess is that they can't get him legally.

Time will tell.
