How many National security advisors have Trump gone through? And now we have a "You can't fire me because I quit!" "No, you can't quit because you're fired!" situation in the Whitehouse.

Trump and Bolton offer conflicting accounts on his White House exit
    By Quint Forgey, Politico•September 10, 2019

President Donald Trump has ousted national security adviser John Bolton, asserting in a pair of surprise tweets Tuesday that he and the controversial aide "disagreed strongly" on matters of foreign policy.

"I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore ... I asked John for his resignation, which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service,"

But Bolton, who was scheduled to appear at a White House briefing later Tuesday afternoon alongside Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, offered a conflicting account on Twitter minutes after the Trump's posts.

"I offered to resign last night and President Trump said, 'Let's talk about it tomorrow,'" he wrote online.

Robert Costa, national political reporter for the Washington Post, also wrote in a tweet that he had received a text from Bolton, saying “Let’s be clear, I resigned, having offered to do so last night.

LOL until now thought no article could be anti-China and anti-US at the same time, but here comes (related to the book published most recently)
How China’s surveillance state was a mirror to the US for whistle-blower Edward Snowden

US drone strike 'kills 30 Afghan farmers'
    Reuters
    The Telegraph•September 19, 2019

A U.S. drone strike intended to hit an Islamic State (Isil) hideout in Afghanistan killed at least 30 civilians resting after a day’s labor in the fields, officials said on Thursday.

The attack on Wednesday night also injured another 40 people after accidentally targeting farmers and laborers who had just finished collecting pine nuts at Wazir Tangi in eastern Nangarhar province, three Afghan officials told Reuters.

“The workers had lit a bonfire and were sitting together when a drone targeted them,” tribal elder Malik Rahat Gul told Reuters by telephone from Wazir Tangi.
