so you send a SWAT team to deal with someone you think is suicidal? Were they trying to move the process along? And then the SWAT team shooter claims he missed his target? This is incompetent on so many levels, you don't even know where to start.

It's truly perverted that it appears an acceptable excuse in American society for armed police, who are supposed to be trained and seasoned professionals, to panic because they 'fear for their life' while aiming guns in the face of often unarmed civilians, and act with breathtakingly excessive violence that often lead to the deaths of unarmed civilians.

However, OTOH it seems to be totally unacceptable for untrained civilians to panic when they suddenly find themselves staring down the barrel of large guns aimed at their face by the police.

Nowhere else on earth other than many North Korea would that sort of nonsense be acceptable.

it's the most recent (less than one hour; noticed at several news-servers): shooting in Munich, Germany, ...
twelve hours later I woke up, logged on coupla minutes ago, and let me see ... it seems the shooter had been a product of Political Correctness:

The teenage killer was filmed on the roof of a car park in Munich. This is what he was heard saying...

Balcony man: ‘You you...’

Gunman: ‘Because of you I was bullied for 7 years...’

Balcony man: ‘You you. you’re a ’

Gunman: ‘...and now I have to buy a gun to shoot you’

Balcony man: ‘A gun! off! Your head should be cut off you ’

An unidentified voice is heard to say: ‘ Turks!’ before the balcony man says ‘ foreigner’

The man filming is then heard to say: “He’s got a gun! He has loaded his gun. Get the cops here. He’s walking around here the .”

The gunman then says “I am German”, to which the man filming replies with “You’re a is what you are. What the are you doing?”

The gunman is then heard to say “I was born here.”

“I grew up here in the Hartz 4 (unemployment benefits in Germany) area.”

He pleads with the onlooker “please shut your mouth.”

Mrs. Merkel will soon have millions of I-was-born-here-grew-up-on-benefit, "multicultural" types

EDIT
"Meanwhile, Hartz IV has become a synonym for the class of non-working poor and is used as a prefix in multiple contexts ..."

Mostly thanks to the proliferation of guns among civilians and hostility-oriented police training, however prejudice by race, profession, economic well-being, etc also play a part.

Criminals, gangs, and sleezy politicians that pander to the PC crowd are the real problems, not law abiding gun owners.

It is particularly PC to pose as holier than thou and have double standards to worship doing whatever one wants in particular to make money, especially railing against sensible regulation and enforcement to ensure accountability and protect the public good.

A Syrian man who had been denied asylum in Germany set off an explosive device near a music festival in the center of the city of Ansbach late Sunday, injuring at least 12 and killing himself, officials said.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said the 27-year-old man's request for asylum was rejected a year ago, but he was allowed to remain in Germany because of the situation in Syria.

"We don't know if this man planned on suicide or if he had the intention of killing others," he said late Sunday.

The nearby open-air concert with some 2,500 in attendance was shut down as a precaution after the blast, Sky News reported.

The city's mayor, Carda Seidel, told local media that an "explosive device" blew up in the city center but provided few other details.

Germany has been on high alert following a series of incidents in recent days.

On Sunday, a Syrian refugee wielding a machete killed a woman and injured two other people in the German city of Reutlingen. The 21-year-old man was apparently acting alone and was arrested by police.

One Friday, nine people were killed in a shooting near a shopping mall in Munich, which was carried out by an 18-year-old who later turned the gun on himself.
