as
1.how do you select the men
When a elite team like you mentioned above is needed, traditionally Chinese generals would make up a such team from the best members of the existing speical forces from each MR and gather them together for selection. This has being almost everytime when a situation need such a elite group. I would do the same haha, plus they already have a small team directly organic to the general staff 2nd department....
2. what are the selection crouse
No offense...but the Chinese selection for such things really need some human rights in it.
I would make it very brutal and intensive both physically and mentally and you would need to sign a paper before the training that give up your rights and that the military does not take blame for any permanent damage done(they do it for special force) and whoever comes out of it wins, and a test of loyality, courage and valor under the most life threatening enviroment will also be put out
3. training and who will you appoint to train those men.
Physically, I would just make it a bit harsher than the existing CPLA SF training as it is harsh enough.. But most of the focus would be put into teamwork between people as they not from the same unit and the use of high-tech equpiment and joint operations.
4 and what ever you want to add.....
Has to be the best existing special force member in terms of phyiscal, mental, intellgence and the use of modern high tech equpment. Also the soldier must to be ABSOLUTELY loyal and have a 100% clean background...
P.S. they do have a unit like this that is directly organic to the general staff 2nd department supposely but it has been remain unknown. even a approx. location of the base is unknown...(heard its in the jungles but its just rumor lol)

1. I would select them based on their academic, intelligence, physical fitness, performance. Pretty much everything the western world has done. What I want to create is a Chinese team of SAS or Delta
2. The selection course would be very similar to the SAS, Delta, and SEAL's selections and training. However extensive time will be spent in examining the personalities of the soldiers and how they operate.
3. Extensive training in certain personality traits development, education(not resocialization), academic education, and team trainings. Many exercises would be regularly executed to increase their preparedness and their skills. Case studies of other SOF groups as well as handing in reports of analysis to develop further critical thinking of individuals and the team in assessment of other SOF as well as to learn from others' experience.
Extensive field craft and many courses will be offered. Underwater Demolition, UW(unconventional warfare), CT, infiltration, undercover, HALO/HAHO, CQB, DA, forward recon, CTR (Close Target Recce) will be taught. International crosstraining will be attempted. Extensive training in marksmanship, field craft, physical fitness
Language courses, psychology, interrogation, SERE,MOUT, terrain training, jungle training, mountain training, winter training, BCW training, and handling of vehicles, as well as some foreign weapons would be available. Some miiltary thinking, military science, and history would also be taught to enhance their intelligence.

Most importantly the purpose is to train the group to be individual critical thinkers who can work independently and as a team. All the same time they will understand why they are serving their country. Of course most importantly would be the test of their loyalty.
Decent intelligence is also important.
They would be the new SAS/Delta of China. Not only that, they will be the future as they will be further organized into smaller regiments for some specific roles such as Naval, Airborne, Air force, Strategic, National/Domestic Security, CT, Army. They will become the instructors of the future elements as well. Not only so, they would be dispersed all over China to protect Chinese interests.

i hope you guys do know that every year (or once in a while) the Chinese special forces would hold a nation wide boot camp training that lasts prolly for a couple of months. its a congregation of a selected team of spec ops from every military region and the airbourne, the marines, as well as the national security department. i guess if the national security department sends ppl to that stuff then obviously their mission would include the covert operation stuff you guys were talkin about. also the Chinese navy has a small spec ops (prolly similar size as the SEALS), its the one they sent to the pirate hunting stuff. i guess they would be trained for the kind of covert operations you guys are talkin about here.

One problem the unit would have is that it would be 100% pure Asian. This would limit its theater of operations to Asian countries and Countires where large groups of Asians moving around would not be out of place.

The problems of ethnicity in ones special forces would also apply to European countries as well. A bunch of Anglo Saxons stomping around the country side in Tibet or Xinjiang for example, would highly be out of place. Even if the group were made up of Western domiciled/raised Asians, instinct from the locals would tell them something's not right.

All the elite SOF are like that.... Delta force is well known by people and yet no one really knows much details about the unit at all..

This is new to me, I've never heard or new of an anti-terrorism unit called "Cutting blade" before, until I stumbled across a feature video on youtube.

Thanks for the video. However as I must say, I really question the actual training of these so call anti-terror units. Seriously... it just doesn't seemed like they are cut out for the job. The training might be tiring, and that is about all.

Plus... man... come on, what is the deal with people with phobia for height getting into the unit, these should already been filtered out in the selection process. Plus some of the trooper (Chen Chen, i believe) is so self-centered... what is the deal... missing out 1 birthday to be celebrated with parents and he go all Boo hooing?

Seriously, if I was to fight... these are people I would not want to fight next to. All in all... I think this clip is just some sort of military propagada to show how well they treat a soldier... (even to the extend, to celebrate birthday with the affected soldier).

I don't even speak Chinese and I can tell you don't take everything that video says seriously, just based on how it looks. It's a propaganda piece. Propaganda can sometimes be revealing, but I lack context because I don't have the language skills.

One thing strange... I always seemed to find huge number of Chinese propaganda movie clips from CCTV and stuff like that featuring training of their so-call special forces, snipers, and stuff like that, but couldn't find much or anything on US Spec-Ops like the combat diver, Navy SEAL, Delta Forces. The nearest thing I found is from a movie that actually featured a woman in the Navy SEAL Bud program (forget the movie's name though).

I was wondering if the US actually have any of these clips?
