    Hi, I just logged on this forum after a fair while, and wondering, is there a button I could press to block certain clown from PMing me in the future? Cheers.

    If the contents of the PMs are offensive then just report them to a supermod like popeye or SampanViking.

    Maybe if you put someone on your blacklist? Not too sure what it does actually.

    I would like to ask a naive I must admit question related to PMs. No, it is not about blocking but I did not want to create a new thread so I used this one. Namely HOW to send a PM, I do not see a PM button? Forgive my for my forum / computer / internet ignorance.

    Perhaps it is like what happens in a few forums where you get that privilege after a certain amount of posts?

    Thx for your time & effort but perhaps is a little too little. But – where are the admins / mods when you need them? Hallo anybody there? Would really appreciate an answer for my original question. Thx in advance.

    Mods are under no obligation as far as time spent in this forum is concerned..AND we don't get paid.

    In answer to your question you cannot block an IP. Only WebMaster can perform that function. And when he does it prevents the blocked IP from using the forum in any way.

    The best thing to do would put that member on your ignore list. How?;
    1) Click on his/her username.
    2) Select view profile.
    3) In the left column of the page you see select add to ignore list.
    4) OR...under my settings on your profile page you can select Private messaging off. or go under privacy to to set who you receive PMs from.

    If someone is harassing you with PMs forward the PM to me or any mod and we will handle the situation.

    DO NOT quote or respond to this post.

    I believe you have to be on the forum for a while, and post so many times, before you can send PMs.

    Popeye, do you know how long...hwo many posts before a new member can PM?
