Battlefield 2's portrayal of the PLA

Guess most hard core gamers out there will have probably played the game Battlefield 2 and in it included is the People's Liberation Army. I myself have took a look and played the actual game and i must say i don't think it really does have a good representation of the PLA. They made the main assault rifle of the PLA to be the Ak-47 + Grenade Launcher and most people here will know that it would be the Type 81's and also the QBZ's. I don't think they included the new JS SMG as well.
What you guys think?

there is minor differences. eg. the medics alternative weapon for the chinese is weaker, but comes with a scope.

they made them similiar to make the game balanced. but give them 1% of differences to make it fun.

I myself noticed this, but I think it comes from a general lack of information. But more modern weapons like the T-95 and QJY-88 are in the X-Box/360 version of Battlefield 2.

It's possible to explain it as that because of the U.S invasion, the PLA was caught off guard and threw it's Type-56-Equiped Reserves at the Americans.

no chinese weapons comes with a scope except for the sniper rifle and ATGM...
in fact no medic kits have the scope... unless your talking about unlocks, but the SA-80 is open to all the sides
the AK-101 is such a awesome weapon, i love killing those G36E noobs with it :coffee:

I always thought that they should make an update patch to give the PLA Type 81's or 95's, like what they did with the Japanese troops and their weapons and equipment for Battlefeild 1942. Just because having two types of AK's seems somewhat redundant.

Dont get me wrong either. Only two things on this earth last forever. Damonds, and AK's. So the more the merrier, but it is sort of boring when everyone uses the same weapon.

The PLA helmets for assualt and support are the same as the americans but when you look closely theres a significant difference, and the PLA antitankers have the really old helmets which make them look second class, and i mean cmon give the antitankers the js-9 smg plz! i dont want to feel ashamed about my equipment when i was to kick some noobs arse. and i'd like to see them introduce the new type-99's instead ofthe prototype type 98's

they defenlity need to update the PLA stuff
Spec: Type 95 Carbine
Sniper: M99 (maybe too powerful... it could even rival the M95)
Assault: Type 95 (normal version)
Support: Type 95 SMG
Medic: Type 87 (anything powerful should be good)
Enginer: NOR982
Anti Tank: JS SMG or the new Chang Feng SMG and they need a new anti-tank rocket instead of using the Russian ones
Tank: Type-99G
APC: Type 97 IFV or Type 89 APC
AA: We should get the land version CIWS
Jet: J-10 and Su-30MKK (or JH-7A more Chinese...)
Helo: WZ-10 and I want a freaking Ka-28
Transport: Chinese HMMWV and FAV
And last but not least in the Dalian Plant map they should do a switch...

hey I have battlefield 2 nd no the vehicles arent the same. Americans have the humvees nd chinese forces have completely different vehicles maybe i have a diferent game.

nah same version wer where just talking about improving the PLA side in BF2... that HUMVEE sure beats the old busted truck PLA has
