I mean really, what kind of idiot would actually ride into that? Riding into that is equivalent with voluntarily allowing your opponent to surround you.
The rivalry between Zhou You and Zhuge Liang (which was HIGHLY amusing in the novel) was barely played at, and the "Zomg I want Da Quiao" thing from Cao Cao totally overstated (IIRC in the novel it was a clever ploy from Zhuge Liang to get Zhou You into his boat, wasnt Cao Cao supposed to be rather smitten with Zhen Ji anyway?).
The weird Gong Fu stuff was quite unreasonable too. Throwing yourself into combat with multiple enemies when it was not neccessary....
