Just looking at some of the indegenously designed/made cars, it seems theyre gonna experience the same trouble the Japanese and Korean car makers.

In most instances, the design of the car fails to make that extral appeal to Caucasian tastes.

Don't know about NZ but in the USA Asian cars sell very well.

Don't know about NZ but in the USA Asian cars sell very well.

They do sell very well in NZ.. Decades from reading car mags,Japanese and later Korean Cars have been given high raps for engineering and finish, but less so when it came to the asthetics of the design. They got around this but consulting European design house. Toyota started to do this in the early 90's. and Ive also read how Korean consumer manufacturers/ especially Hyundi employs designers from around the world.

Recently theres been some very good articles written about the Chinese car industry , submitted by 'ie" and "escobar" and others.IN interviews the CEO of these firms often say "making the cars cheaper, increasing sales" was the companies misson statement.
Theres never talk about making it better, which to me is a disappointment.
