hi everyone, this is the first time I ever posted someting on the sinodefence forum. first thing I've to say: this site is awesome! unbiased and up-to-date review of the chinese military (first time viewing this site I thought it was just another major propaganda attempt :p ), my compliments to the big brainers behind all these! by the way, I'm coming from the Netherlands, nice to meet you all! (that's right, we sold taiwan those subs, which I consider as a stupidass move!)

my first quetion then, could anybody give me an accurate figure on the inventories the PLAAF now is holding concerning SU-27(j-11 whatever) and SU-30? Assesments I find on Globalsecurity have turned out to be not so very believable, and other sources such as on

Welcome eurofighter...You could have made the calculations by yourself from the mainsite but i got them ready so here we go:

SU-30
76+76+24= 176

Su-27 (russian build)
26+22= 48

Su-27UB
14+28= 42

J-11 (chinese build)
between 90 and 100

Total: 366

i don't believe we have that many su-30s.

I think it was two batches of 38 of su-30mkk and 1 batch of 6 and another batch of 18 su-30mkk2.

I got my numbers from older calculation based on sinodefence, done couple moths ago for the old forum...i could be wrong whit them but i doupt it...let me check...

The PLA Air Force (PLAAF) acquired two batches of 76 Su-30MKKs between 2000 and 2003. The third batch, which consisted of 24 examples of the upgraded Su-30MKK2 variant, was delivered to the PLA Naval Air Force (PLANAF) in August 2004.

hmmm...i see...here's when language skills beats mathematics...I counted that the both batches where 76 planes...so i apologizes for missinformation....
