(ASK) How well trained are the pla special forces?

First assessment of this scale since 2015. Each unit is actually continuously assessed every year (for recruitment and retirement purposes). They might not assess every category, but they do try to fill gaps they find every year.

It does make me wonder if they do "enough" "realistic" training. For example practice shooting after being on the move however long with all their gear, rather than practicing shooting on its own without encumbrance nor prior movement.

For example recently I see pictures of SP artillery firing practice but none of their MGs are mounted, that's "unrealistic" training in my layman's book because even if the focus of the training is artillery fire they did not prepare as if they are going into combat where they would have to mount their MGs because they might be needed.

Shooting after running training they do. As for the MG, think they compartmentalise too much. How realistic, no idea, but we know not enough because PLA don't know what real war is in 40 years.
