The plane on the carrier resembles the aircraft picture you also give but both do not resemble JZY-01. The tail is entirely different. JZY's tail resembles that of its USN counterpart with four vertical tail surfaces.

To be fair given the angle of the aircraft in the coin we can't really tell if it has one tail or four

I've "always" thought, I don't know why, for important missile tests

(like the one Jeff most recently posted:
https://www.sinodefenceforum.com/us-military-news-reports-data-etc.t1547/page-435#post-356413)

the USN would use one of the forward VLS on an AB destroyer ... but is it true? :) at least in this particular test it wasn't, so maybe I've been "always" wrong LOL and actually aft VLS are used?

hope this thread is appropriate for asking this ...
They use both. Sometimes the front (probably a little more often it seems), but also the aft VLS. As this test showed.

I posted the photo below a couple of days ago. The photos was found on navy.mil. Today I saw the same photo on sina military channel..which is common. I've posted the caption in Chinese as it was posted on sina. I tried to translate it but it did not make sense. Could one of you fellows please translate the caption? thank you.

My translation is:

"United States Navy aircraft carrier Washington underway with the Ronald Reagan (and something about refueling and Hong Kong)"

I do not get the refueling and Hong Kong part.

the Chinese caption uses an abbreviated sentence structure, so difficult for translation software to work well. Hong Kong literally means Flagrant Harbor, so the software misinterpreted return to harbor as return to HK.

USN carrier Washington return to port for resupply and refit. Carrier Reagan takes over.
