and recently I've noticed texts (I think shenanigans, but who knows) about the UK "leasing" one of the carriers to the USN; related is
    Sunday at 9:01 PM
well one thing is the UK is broke,
another thing is what the USN would do with the supercarrier-of-all-trades
    ??

I've now watched the footage (I don't know how to link it here, anyway it's probably meant to make an impression as if the elevators worked) inside the tweet https://twitter.com/CavasShips/status/1199217697931829248

Weapons handling room view of one of 11 electromagnetic #AWE Advanced Weapons Elevators operating aboard #carrier USS GERALD R #FORD CVN78 at sea on 25 Nov. The elevators, a key new technology aboard the FORD, have been cycled hundreds of times over the past 3 weeks.

I bet the bomb elevators work:rolleyes::p. The USN would load the ship down with USMC F-35Bs. But I don't think the UK will loan either one of these ships to the USN.
