There is a massive article in this months Air Force monthly magazine on the PLAAF, it runs from pages 52-65 and contains extensive information, its well worth a read!

There is also a orbat analysis which runs through all the divisions, regiments, bases, fighters etc etc which is also informative, as before I took these on my Iphone4S if you cant see I will use the HD scan function and re-post should be ok though I hope, enjoy!

you can click on them and zoom and save and open as jpeg for later

the whole text is a bit peculiar, almost as if it was written some 4-5 years ago, save for the orbat list, which is merely 1-2 years old. That is in itself pretty strange, as the information mentioned in the text contradicts information offered by the orbat list.

Hi guys ... I'm back from southern FRANCE !!!

Thanks for posting this report even if I now alos have the real issue in my hand. Actually I'm a bit biased: At first disappointed since it is indeed more an older report with no info on the lastest changes, just a short summary of the types & even the images are not the best ones. :(

But that leaves the opportunity to do it better ....

yes i find AFM and Warship Magazine good reads but they do not contain the latest of the late information and not also accurate, but they do alot of detail and good analysis of many other aspects of the military

last year they showed JF17 prototype, and they were saying its the latest of the production line, when in fact a new version few blocks later had already flown in Dubai!!! and they hadnt even checked!!

I was also disapointed by the article. Not only was it inaccurate and outdated, but the language of the text also surprised me. When reading the article, I sometimes felt if it were written by a group of children. The text was tautophonic, contained many childish words and didn't clarify why was something, for example, highly advanced.

And certainly, Deino, you will be able to write a much better article (I've been reading Combat Aircraft Monthly for three years now). You have much better knowledge about PLAAF/PLANAF and your language isn't as childish.
