must have been a slow day for pop's as he posted the same pics three times.

Any who the Ea-6b Prowler is a unique aircraft as it is one of the last of a breed dating back too the Vietnam conflict the aircraft began its life as the A-6 intruder but the needs of the navy for a new Suppression enemy air defense aircraft lead too the expansion of the A-6 platform the aircraft was lengthened and a second cockpit added bringing it's crew too four, Jamming pods and other Electronic warfare equipment was added. the bravo prowler upped the sophistication of the equipment and is in use by the navy and Marines. the Navy plans too replace it's Prowlers with EA-18G growlers some time in the coming years the Marines with the F-35B some time later ( along with every other fighter class aircraft in there service)

Maj. Joseph Bachmann, a developmental test pilot for the F-35 Lightning II, takes off in an F-35 AA-1 March 19 from the runway at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics plant here. Bachmann was the first Marine to fly the aircraft and has been training to fly the multirole, stealth-capable, supersonic joint strike fighter aircraft for more than two years. The Marine Corps will field the F-35B variant of the aircraft, which is short take-off and vertical landing capable.

QALANDERABAD, AFGHANISTAN - MARCH 22: A palette of military supplies lies in an opium poppy field on March 22, 2009 in remote Qalanderabad in southwest Afghanistan. A U.S. Air Force airdrop of supplies blew off target, and several pallets landed on a farmer's opium cropps and crushing them. U.S. Marines, who retrieved the supplies, assured the irate Afghan farmer that he would be paid for his damaged poppy in compensation for the accident. The Taliban often extorts a percentage of the profits from the farmers' harvest to fund attacks on American forces, according to the military. U.S. Marines, however, have no mandate to destroy poppy crops and, in fact, rely on local farmers for information on Taliban activities.
