Yea.. about $5 billion dollars worth!

Actually it is much cheaper to place the ships company autos on CVN-76 to transport them to Bremerton WA rather than to pay the crew members to drive to Bremerton WA.

More than likely many family members and household good are also making the trip. It's been done many times in the past.

What's wrong with Iran? No sincere words of thanks to the USN for rescuing their fishermen on 2 occassions recently. What we hear are Iranian threats to close the Straits of Homuz. The Iranian regime underestimated the determination of most nations to stop the country from making the nuclear bomb. Perhaps they thought Iran could get away with all the lies/falsehood like the case of North Korea. There's no BIG brother to protect the country. Besides Syria (which is faltering) & most if not all Arab countries are wary of Iran. I personally met Iranians, they are nice people, but its autocratic government that is trying to exert itself as a power in the ME. Don't mess with the your neighbours, the UN and in particular the USN. Recommend they see the photos in this thread before committing any belligerant acts.,

The Iranians did thank the USN for the first rescue. Sincere or not..

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast, while speaking with the Iranian Arabic-language broadcaster Al-Alam, said that "we consider the actions of the US forces in saving the lives of Iranian seamen to be a humanitarian and positive act and we welcome such behavior.
