Behind the 35mm grenade launcher there's another soldier wiping a really long weapon, what is that? Looks like some kind of anti-material rifle...
This is a discussion on PLA Photos within the World Military Pictures forums, part of the World Strategic Defence Area category; PLAN(?) Special Operations Team that will accompany the task force. Note the mis-matched body armor...

or a heavy machine gun.
the urban Camo Patten of the body armor and packs looks the same as the ones worn during the joint Indian Operation, the vests them selves look sort of like the US Marine Modular Tactical Vest but the early versions in that it's open around the kidneys. The US Vests closed this due too IED and Fragmentation wounds.
Also note that the Chinese Seem too have introduced the alterations too the Type 07 uniform as both the Blue Uniforms seen above and the Urban uniforms have shoulder Pockets the Joint operations uniforms have flat top opening style the blue one have slanted ones with Velcro Like the American ACU
also Note that only one of the troops has a telescopic sighted type 95 rifle.

A Dongfeng-1 Missile is displayed in the hall of weapons at the Chinese Military Museum, in Beijing January 4, 2009. China may be planning to slowly reduce the number of missiles aimed at Taiwan in a significant show of goodwill towards the self-ruled island, a military official from Taiwan said on Sunday

Chinese destroyer DDG-169 Wuhan is pictured from French Frigate Le Floreal on January 7, 2009. A Chinese naval convoy arrived on January 6, 2009 in the Gulf of Aden on a landmark mission to protect the country's shipping from Somali pirates and escorted its first four vessels, state media reported. The four ships escorted were Chinese merchant vessels, including one from Hong Kong, Xinhua news agency said in a dispatch filed from aboard the destroyer Wuhan. The naval task force, deploying two destroyers and a supply ship, marks China's first potential combat mission beyond its territorial waters in centuries.

that last pic im not sure, but for some reason it reminds me of the su47 berkut.
The script said something not related to the photo: If China is interested, Russia would consider to sell the new Su-35 fighter/bomber, and may also let China join the 5th generation fighter development project. This might means that China would give up developing aircraft carrier and concentrate on the new air power.
人生得意需盡歡,莫舉金尊空對月
Indeed, this is a Su-47 Berkut. It have a weary simmilar design with the US X-29.

Recently I found three pictures here. I think this is a 130 mm naval gun, but Iam not sure. Some naval expert comment would be great.

or some one misplaced a photo. the tail marking it not Chinese it's a red star not a "Bar and star" and the Chinese place such markings on the fuselage not the tail plane the script is Cyrillic not Chinese characters and the Aircraft is the SU47
Here Watch the birdie!
take notes here people
One the shape of the Canards Flankers have swept ones these are trapezoidal shaped, Check
second the Location of the Script on the hull. just under the cockpit the color of it and the airframe, check
shape of the tail planes number of them ( two) and Markings ( white top Green/black body with Red star ( each nation has a unique marking system and red stars are the Russian marker the Chinese use a orange/red star with gold trim on a matching bar, USA star in a ring with bars branching out, most Europeans use there national colors in a bulls eye. )
the wings are hard too tell but there sweeping forward and in military use that means only two aircraft with in the last twenty years the X29 US, or the SU47 Firkin.
There is no great genius without a mixture of madness.
