why are the tanks running over the soldiers?
Perhaps it's a test for the tank's lift off the ground, also those might not be soldiers, they could just be practice dummies.Originally Posted by drunkhomer

I agree! I remember the similar training method had be seen in the soviet union red army !Originally Posted by RedMercury

The rounds are fully jacketed, meaning it is a good penetrator, but not good at putting someone down.
I want Asia on my front porch and America as my backyard.
Disclaimer: By America, I meant the Continent. And yes, I know Asian homes have neither a backyard nor a porch in the American sense.

How close are the platforms from shore? You can see the soldiers wading out to the boat.....
They are actually far from shores of mainland. The platforms yous see are actually little islands with platforms built on top of them.
When my mom was still in the navy I have had the privilege of visiting the "Nan Sha" and "Xi Sha" islands.
Some of them are like reefs or new born islands with just a little bit of them poking through the water, the rest are still underwater but makes the surround water very shallow.

As you can see from that linked image. The Geographic relations of the islands to Hainan island and mainland China.
