The huge defense event EUROSATORY 2012 - The Land and Airland Defence and Security international exhibition starts tomorrow (press demonstration day)

also on deck was the new Steyr F90 a total upgrade for the classic AUG based on work between Steyr, Thales and Australia .

no directly Eurosatory related but I attended two more events this week, so post them here as well:

I was last monday at Renault Trucks Defense and ACMAT test field (near a French Army base) and was able to shoot 4 Gb+ of videos:

Defence Vehicle Dynamics show, Millbrook testing grounds, UK

I was there this week. Pretty cool event where you get to ride in vehicles, see them on the test tracks and what not.

Thank God Wednesday wasn't rainy, because on Thursday it turned into a mud fest.

And seems like the French are looking at the Terrier engineer vehicle:

At DVD 2012 Defence Vehicle Dynamics exhibition, BAE Systems presents the first serial production of its combat engineer vehicle, the Terrier which is now in service with the British Army. TERRIER is an agile, capable and air-transportable manoeuvre support vehicle with a wide variety of early entry, combat support and post-conflict roles. These include obstacle and mine clearance, route opening and maintenance, digging-in equipment and troops, excavation of anti-tank ditches and general engineer tasks.

BAE Systems also announced that the French army had show interest for this type of vehicle. The Terrier vehicle was completely designed and built by BAE Systems to meet the new needs of engineer vehicle multirole mobile platform for the British Army.
