During launch the Russians use that strange deck pop-up hold back chock system to allow the Su-33 to build up thrust. Is there any word on the Chinese using the same system on their carrier?
Wow! Seems like the US Navy system is the time tested and experience tested carrier operations system. You can cut corners at your own risk. I wonder if their LSO system with their guys in that little shelter off the deck works better than having the LSOs standing on the deck?

No I mean that bubble type arrangement the Russians use for their LSOs near the back of their carrier. That's what I was referring to. I will post a picture if you need a referenceI think you mean the bubble. those mates in the bubble are working the cats..

^^Download the photo you wish to post to your computer. Use a photo hosting site such as imageshack, photobucket or imgur to upload it. Follow the instructions on that photo hosting site. Use that URL that say forum to host your photo. Simply paste that URL in your post to show the picture. Give it a shot. Very easy to do.
